London Novice C 1 Davis Martindale AWP

are Stratford Tournament Champions!!!

London Novice C 1 team went undefeated in three days of play at the Jackie Miles Memorial Tournament in Stratford in January. The team fought hard against Mitchell and won 6 – 4 with the last two goals being scored with less than a minute of play. They defeated Wellington North and Stratford and then Owen Sound 7 – 6 in a nail-biting game. The team played Owen Sound again the next day in the play-off with Natalie Evans scoring two goals in the last minute and a half of play to defeat the Owen Sound team (with three boys on it ) by 4 – 3.

It has been amazing to see how hard these girls can play and see every single one of them give more than 100 per cent on the ice during the tournament. It was also special for the girls to have so many of their grandparents and other relatives along with the full slate of parents, out to watch the championship game.
