Home the Gold from Cambridge
London Tween C Coldcash.ca showed how they could play as a team during the Cambridge tournament . They beat Cambridge 11 -2; Elora-Fergus 11 - 0; and after losing to St. Marys 7 - 10 in round robin play, went on to defeat them 7 - 5 in an exciting final game to win the gold. Nicole Barrett and Jessica Noble were super shooters over the weekend, scoring a total of 11 goals each during the tournament. All the forward lines contributed to this success - Mary Austin, Kate Austin, Elaine Currie, Jeanette Evans and rookie forward, Vivian Tan. The defensive team of rookie Ashley Box, Grace Currie, Heather Lindsday, Katie Long and Miranda Powell never let up. This is the first year for goalie Beth Austin playing in net and the game against Elora-Fergus was her first shut out. Way to go girls!!!
