Policy for selection of
A/AA teams:
- Select Coaches for all level of
provincial teams. Coaches should
apply by the end of March and selection of the coaches should be done by mid-April
by the Coaching Committee.
- Evaluate players. The coaches and Association arrange for
ice time for evaluations of players to be completed by the end of April/
early May.
- Coach proposes level
of play. Coach proposes to the
Board an A/AA or no team at that level by end of May.
- Board approves level
of play. Within 15 days of the
Coaches proposal of level of play, the Board announces the level of play.
- Coach selects the
team based on the level of play. The Coach must select the team within the dates set out by
WORL following the guidelines for evaluating players for the team.
- Coach selects bench
staff after the tryouts.
